Yoga for Stress & Anxiety workshop
Stress is a normal fact of life. We all have ups and downs and experience stressful times in our lives.
But it’s when stress becomes chronic and unmanaged that it can impact our physical and mental health, our relationships, and how we interact with our world.
This can then manifest into various symptoms including
Physical symptoms – muscle tension, headaches, getting ill a lot, holding your breath, sighing a lot, digestive issues, skin breakouts, excessive sweating or urination, shallow or chest breathing, grinding your teeth or clenching your jaw, low or very high appetite
Mental symptoms – difficulty concentrating, forgetting things, feeling fuzzy or disconnected, feeling wired/on edge or constantly alert, a need to be in control of the outcome of things, distracting yourself all the time, watching tv or constant scrolling to try to switch off or numb out
Emotional & Energetic symptoms – disturbed sleep, mood swings, reduced libido, sudden drops in energy or constant fatigue, feeling unrefreshed in the morning, using stimulants like coffee or sugar to keep going
In this workshop, we will explore how yoga can be a powerful holistic practice for managing stress and recovering from chronic states.
This workshop will teach you a few simple strategies that you can take off the mat and into your life empowering you to self-regulate.
No prior experience of yoga is necessary.
